Leaders call: "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join here beneath the Highrock for a Clan meeting."

Apprentice Ceremony:

"*Kit name*, from now on, you shall be known as *apprentice name*. *Mentor name*, you are ready for an apprentice. You will be *Apprentice name*'s mentor.

"*mentor name*, you have shown *a skill* and *a skill*. I expect you to pass on all your skills to *Apprentice name*, so that he may be an honorable warrior of *Clan name*."

*Clan calls apprentice by new name, and mentor and apprentice touch noses.*

Warrior Ceremony:

"*mentor name*, are you satisfied that this apprentice is ready to become a warrior?"

"Yes, s/he is ready."

"I, *Leader name*, leader of *Clan name*, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. S/he has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her/him a warrior in their turn. *apprentice name*, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and protect and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

"I do."

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. *apprentice name*, from this moment on you shall be known as *new warrior name*. The Clan honors you for your *a skill* and *a skill*, and we welcome you as a full warrior of *Clan name*."

*Leader rests muzzle on new warrior, and warrior licks shoulder in return. The Clan calls new warrior by name, then the warrior sits vigil that night.*

Deputy Ceremony:

"I say this before StarClan, so that the spirits of our ancestors to hear and approve my choice.

*warrior name* will be the new deputy of *Clan name*."

*Clan calls deputy's name*

Alternate (if former deputy's body has not yet been buried)

"I say this before the body of *former deputy name*, so that his spirit may hear and approve my choice.

*warrior name* will be the new deputy of *Clan name*."

Medicine Cat Apprentice Ceremony:

(In the Moonpool/stone at half-moon, the medicine cat gives ceremony)

"*apprentice name*, is it your wish to enter the mysteries of a medicine cat?"

"It is."

"Then come forward. Warriors of StarClan, I present to you this apprentice. S/he has chosen the path of a medicine cat. Grant her/him your wisdom and insight, so that s/he may understand your ways and heal her/his Clan in accordance with your will. Now, crouch down and drink from the pool."

*Apprentice obeys, and has her/his own dreams with StarClan.*

Medicine Cat Ceremony:

(at Moonpool/stone at half-moon, medicine cat gives ceremony)

"I, *medicine cat name*, medicine cat of *Clan name*, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. S/he has trained hard to understand the way of a medicine cat, and with your help, s/he will serve her Clan for many moons. *apprentice name*, do you promise to uphold the ways of a medicine cat, to stand apart from rivalry between Clan and Clan, and to protect all cats equally, even at the cost of your life?"

"I do."

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your true medicine cat name. *apprentice name*, from this moment on, you shall be known as *warrior/new name*. You have proved to be a true medicine cat by finding the Moonpool."

*All medicine cats call new name.*

Elder Ceremony:

"*warrior name*, Is it your wish to give up the name of warrior and go to join the elders?"

"It is."

"Your Clan honors you and all the service you have given us. I call upon StarClan to give you many seasons of rest."

*Clan calls cat by name.*
